Ketentuan hukum tentang merek mengalami perubahan yang cukup signifikan sejak diberlakukannya UU No. 20 tahun 2016 tentang Merek dan Indikasi Geografis. Disamping itu ada juga peraturan tambahan yang termaktub dalam Permenkumham No. 67 Tahun 2016. Peraturan-peraturan tersebut merupakan suatu instrumen hukum baru dalam lingkup perlindungan kekayaan intelektual. Dalam seminar undang-undang merek kali ini semua aturan tersebut akan dibahas secara tuntas.
Seminar akan menghadirkan pejabat dari Direktorat Merek dan Indikasi Geografis Kementerian Hukum dan HAM RI, para pakar dan praktisi hukum merek. Dengan mengikuti seminar ini diharapkan para peserta dapat
benar-benar memahami perkembangan hukum merek dan indikasi geografis yang baru, mengambil manfaat positif daripadanya serta menerapkannya sesuai kebutuhan usaha masing-masing.
